David Kehlman is a writer who hopes he can write a movie script to relaunch his career. To do this, David moves, along with his wife and daughter, to a house that the family rents in the mountains of Germany. However, something in the building does not seem to be going well. The stay promises to change forever a family that must face inexplicable events and, above all, the apparent change that David is undergoing.
