Colombia in the 1980s. On a beautiful, coconut palm fringed beach of young Canadians Nick and his brother Dylan build a small paradise for surfers. As Nick indigenous Maria gets to know, he falls in love with the beautiful woman. Maria in turn is involved in the election campaign of her beloved uncle none other than the infamous, ruthless drug lord Pablo Escobar.
