In a Japanese nuclear power plant, in which the American engineer Joe Brody and his wife Sandra are employed, there is a disaster. Years later, Joe, who has survived as one of the few attempts to elucidate the true causes of the accident. And his intuition proves him right. Together with his son Ford and the scientists Ichiro Serizawa he finds out that a giant monster was responsible for the disaster at the time. And now it strikes again! The military is powerless.
